Jessica Nakos attended Texas Woman’s University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2014, as well a Master of Occupational Therapy degree in 2016. After graduation, she accepted a position in a Skilled Nursing Facility and became involved in advocacy and local politics joining the City of Bertram as a Commissioner of the Planning and Zoning committee. She is also a cofounder of the Bertram Park Foundation, a Texas non-profit organization focused on preservation, development, and accessibility of natural green spaces and parks for the City of Bertram as the population expands. Jessica began her career with the University of St. Augustine – Austin campus in 2019 as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator. She teaches and assists students through Seminar courses and Level II Fieldwork as she works toward a Ph.D. in Occupational Therapy through Nova Southeastern University.
